Karen Paulus, Clinical Dietary Manager for Sarasota Bay Club won first place in the Cold Appetizer Category at the “Best of the ALF’s A Culinary Extravaganza” held August 31st at the Sahib Shriners Auditorium, Sarasota.

All Proceeds from the event went to the SCAN Program to assist Sarasota County Seniors. Other categories were hot hor d’oeuvres, cold hor d’oeuvres, pasta dishes and luscious desserts. Celebrity chef judges included Christian Hershman; Culinary Consultant George Armstrong; Chef Rolf, Salt Water Café; Paul Mattison, Mattison’s City Grill.
